The SAYHU Preservation Project’s goal is to conduct and preserve oral histories, as well as gather other archival materials to create an awareness of and document the diverse lives of South Asians living in Houston.

Oral histories and archival materials preserve and build on the limited recorded histories of South Asian-Americans living in the Southern United States. The materials we gather in this digital archival repository are meant to be used as educational resources for our own communities, the general public and future researchers.
